BUDAPEST, Hungary — January, 31, 2018 — ALLWIN Informatics Ltd., today announced that Tamás Tárnok, has been named a “Most Valuable Professional (MVP)” in the technology category by Sitecore®, the global leader in experience management software. Tamás was one of only 208 Technology MVPs worldwide to be named a Sitecore MVP this year.
Now it its 12th year, Sitecore’s MVP program recognizes individual technology, strategy, and commerce advocates who share their Sitecore passion and expertise to offer positive customer experiences that drive business results. The Sitecore MVP Award recognizes the most active Sitecore experts from around the world who participate in online and offline communities to share their knowledge with other Sitecore partners and customers.
Congratulations, we are very proud of you, Tamás! You’ve became the one and only Hungarian Sitecore MVP this year. What is the secret behind your success?
In brief, a person who is active in the Sitecore community can be a Sitecore MVP. I write blog posts about common problems, usually related to development. My last public project is the Helix.Skeleton on GitHub which is a project generator for Helix based solutions. I always spent a lot of time initializing a project especially in Helix so I just automated this process with PowerShell and published it. Maybe this could help other developers to accelarate the project setup. I also try to be active on Sitecore Stack Exchange and Sitecore Community Slack channel. I regularly check Sitecore Stack Exchange website and try to answer unresolved questions. We have been participating in Sitecore Hackathons for three years in a row and last year we released a Sitecore Module from it. I am the lead organizer of SUG Hungary and I also regularly present there. I presented about Unicorn in March and Sitecore xDB in November last year.
What are your goals for the future?
I would like to continue contributing on Sitecore Stack Exchange, GitHub and writing more blog posts. As we started the Sitecore User Group Hungary in Budapest I would like to organize at least 4 more in this year and also give presentations there. Next meetup will take place in February. As I am a real fan of Helix I would like to develop my Helix.Skeleton project.
